ATM Zakir Hossain
Executive Director, Jagrata Juba Shangha, ATM Zakir Hossain, the founder of JJS, earned his masters degree in commerce from Rajshahi University. He became a member of Service Civil International at the age of 15. Participated the alternative social summit (World Young Social Workers Gathering UFO 95) in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has done International Environmental Education Course organised by NAAEE, The Smithsonian Institute and The Academy for Educational Development in Washington DC in 1995. He did the International Project Management programme for NGOs, Globalverkstan, in Gothenburg, Sweden 1n 2004- 2005. Organisational development is one of his areas of expertise achieved by leading JJS for around 30 years as the Executive Director. He has capacity, experience, and demonstrated skill in Research, project design and implementation, human resource management, liaison and coordination. He is well-versed in the areas of policy analysis, capacity building, participatory monitoring and evaluation, and development support communication. He possesses extensive and diverse partner management experience gained through involvement in partnership based projects. Climate change, gender, human rights, Child Protection and governance are preferred major subject areas where he made attributive contributions.
